Ahhh. While holidays have been epic, geez we’re glad that we live on the Gold Coast!

Usually I’m that guy with the holiday sadz. Sad the holiday has ended so soon. Sad I didn’t get that one last paddle in. Sad that we had to pack up and come home to reality. But pulling into our street on Saturday with a renewed sense of energy and a full heart, excited about the year ahead I was reminded just how lucky we are to live on the Gold Coast.

Our home is at Paradise Point so it’s kind of like we have that little coastal village feel that we’ve enjoyed all holidays BUT with all the perks of a big city (thank you for being the 6th largest city in Australia!).

The holiday may be over but we live on the Gold Coast!! Every day is like being on holidays.

Sun kissed, salt in our hair, hearts full and 2 very tired children by 1pm today – still.

Myles and I put the tinnie in very early this morning, had a swim at South Straddie and will hopefully be hauling in our first load of crabs for the year before the day is out. Family are on their way to visit (we’ve been away for nearly 6 weeks so we’re looking forward to catching up with everyone!) AND tomorrow we officially re-open for the year and plan to hit the ground running.
